1. Moorings Oceanfront Resort – Belfast, Maine Moorings Oceanfront Resort is one of the is one of the prettiest places for oceanside camping in Maine, along beautiful Penobscot Bay. For RV’ers, they offer a variety of places to pull up by the water, including 8 premium oceanfront spaces, 31 standard ocean view sites, and 5 extra-large pull-throughs. Each spot comes equipped with either 30 or 50-amp service, water hook-ups, a campfire ring, complimentary Wi-Fi, and cable television.  Throughout the resort, visitors can also enjoy a private ocean beach, kayak launch, horseshoes, playground, coffee from the office every morning, illuminated spots for night arrivals, immaculate showers, a dump station, and laundry facilities. And there’s always something special to look forward to here. Especially Sunday Donut Days. One recent visitor said this park was an hour’s drive to Acadia N.P. and Bar Harbor. Fort Knox overlooking the Penobscot River and the Penobscot Narrows Observation tower on the bridge over the river is worth a visit...take your camera. Camden is a short drive south and a wonderful town to visit.

2. Camp Gulf – Destin, Florida All of Florida’s white-sand beaches will give you serene views, but Camp Gulf in Destin, on Florida’s Panhandle along the Gulf of Mexico has scenery that belongs on a postcard. The sites at Camp Gulf offer various locations. If you’re looking to fall out of your RV into the sand, and hear the waves in front of your door, go with one of their Beach Front RV Sites – complete with water & electric hook-ups (though pets are not allowed). Or you can go back one row, and still be right by the water in one of their Beach RV Sites, with full hook-ups and a stamped concrete patio. Up even further, they have pet-friendly Upper Park RV Sites with full hook-ups, located by the pools, activity and fitness centers. And their last option, North Upper Park RV sites, are the closest to the entrance, but still within walking distance to the beach. 

3. Manor RV Park – Estes Park, Colorado Manor RV Park is surrounded by streams, towering cottonwoods, and curious wildlife and offers nightly, weekly, and monthly spaces, only minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Here you can wake up to amazing views of the Rocky Mountains each morning.

They have 110 full hook-up sites available, 22 of which are set along the Big Thompson River. Each site comes with a patio and picnic table, along with free cable TV and Wi-Fi. Pet-friendly, they provide a pet walk as well as laundry facilities, a clubhouse, fire pit, playground, newly remodeled restroom, shower facilities, and complimentary breakfast on Saturdays. 

4. Mountain Views at Rivers Edge Resort – Creede, Colorado Set in Southern Colorado, among the San Juan Mountains and banks of the Rio Grande River, Mountain Views at Rivers Edge couldn’t be more appropriately named. They have both daily and monthly RV spots, as well as cabin rentals, and amenities like a fenced dog run, trout pond, fitness room, and on-site gift shop. Outdoor enthusiasts can find plenty of opportunities in the area, with hiking, fishing, biking, golfing, and ATV-ing all within a close distance.

For RV’ers, they offer 97 full hook-up sites, all of which are level, complete with a picnic table, that can accommodate big rigs with slide-outs. Unfortunately, the park is only open during peak season (May-October), but it’s never too early to get your reservations for next year!

5. Sea Perch RV Resort – Yachats, Oregon On Oregon’s rugged coast, Sea Perch RV Resort offers travelers splendid views. They’re open year-round, with drive-forward and back-in RV sites and luxurious oceanfront villa rentals. All of their RV sites are complete with full hook-ups, satellite TV, picnic tables, a Sea Perch Club card, and Wi-Fi.

Their Sea Perch Clubhouse is a cozy size, at about 3,000+ square feet. Visitors can relax in the sitting area, use the exercise room, kitchen, game room, big screen TV, coin-operated laundry, showers, or head up to the 2nd floor for an even more extraordinary perspective of the ocean. The views from this place are incomparable, but they do have Sea Perch policies on their accommodations. Be sure to book this one far enough in advance as it is very popular particularly between May and October each year.

6. South Beach Campground – off Highway 101, Washington This unique campground is just off Highway 101, along Washington’s dreamy coast in the Olympic National Park. Set on a bluff overlooking the big blue Pacific, the campground welcomes RV’ers and tent campers to stop and take in the ocean’s tranquility for the night (May-September). With such mesmerizing views of the ocean, it’s incredible the first-come, first-served sites here only cost $15 per night.

7. Silver Strand State Beach – Coronado, California Silver Strand is hard to beat when it comes to location. This sandy stretch of beach divides the Pacific shoreline and San Diego Bay, with swimming, picnicking, and a paved parking lot where RVs can stay overnight with bathroom & shower facilities. 8. Pirate Cove Resort – Needles, California Pirate-themed, Pirate Cove Resort off Interstate 40 (aka the historic Route 66) is a real treasure. Set along California’s side of the emerald Colorado River in Moabi Regional Park, this secluded cove is something of a Caribbean dream. They’re open year-round, with cabins, full hook-up RV sites, and an on-site restaurant and bar. Visitors can also let their little ones run free in the water playground, or go for peaceful walks along the close-by nature trails.
